Charles (Hugh Grant) in "Four Weddings and a Funeral":
"Ladies and gentlemen, I am, as ever, in bewildered awe of anyone who makes this kind of commitment that Angus and Laura have made today. I know I couldn't do it, and I think it's wonderful they can. I know they are friends of mine and I know they will continue to be friends of mine whatever happens in the next few hours, days, months, and years. However, as sole, single member of the bridegroom's party, it is more than likely that I will be gently but firmly placed in a taxi and sent home, early, alone. Still, it is a marvellous day. MORGANITE

Morganite is the pink iteration of the Beryl family whose members include Emeralds and Aquamarine.

 The warm blush of dusky pink of our Morganite Trillionaires is made more intense by the elegant 9 carat Rose gold band.

 The 'Galaxy' band is elegantly tapered- they are thinner and taller near the top of the ring and wider near the bottom.

 There is a similar ring in our range 'Celeste' which is similar but finer and thinner. please see that option if you want a finer band or a more affordable alternative. Hand carved band - 100% made in Melbourne.

TOURMALINE

Tourmalines are famous the myriad colour variations in which they can occur. I was struck by the blue green of this pair of tourmalines that we used for our Skull Pendant. The skull was hand carved in Melbourne. The brief was 'quite realistic' but slightly stylised so as to not look gothy or heavy metal. Another fun feature is that the jaw is articulated.

SAPPHIRE

Some gemstones are so beautiful they demand their own space to shine. We have created a mini collection of studs called ‘Australian Singletons’, made with Australian sapphires from the gemstone collection of @kapitalcity. Each stud is unique and is designed to be worn as a singleton or mixed in with others to make an eclectic earring layout.

TOURMALINE

Tourmaline is the birthstone for October. It is famous for the myriad of colour variations but the blues are always sought after. We have made one pair of studs from the collection of @kapitalcity. This Australian Tourmaline is from Queensland and is has a fetching emerald cut that really shows off that unique Smokey Blue colour.

Handsome Forrest Cufflinks for the lumberjack in your life. Our forrest design was hand engraved into a cleaned up a turn-of-century cuff link I found in Brooklyn years ago - creating a beautiful and wholly original work.

The engraving gives the work a beautiful textured feeling.

RESCUE

This was a fun project for us with a stylish result for our client. We used the sapphires and diamonds from Connie’s grandma’s ornate ring to build a super cute modern looking band. In this small size our signature five stone ring looks chunky and fun; the gemstones really pop against the silver.

GLACIER

We worked on this ring for months - it was a challenge getting such a monumental sapphire to look  sleek in an epic gold setting. We wanted the sapphire to look like it was part of the ring, as if the whole thing had been pulled out of the ground. 

By the end, four people had worked on this - and the result is nothing short of spectacular.

This incredible slab like 5 carat raw Australian Sapphire is set in solid 9ct White Gold.

PLANTER

This sculptural piece is a living artwork. I have been growing little plants in crystals for the last decade but this is the first one that we are selling from the shop. This is because we were underground and also because I have been slowly perfecting the technique.

I planted a baby pilea in this amethyst cluster in January 2019. It has been living and growing happily ever since.

Pileas loves the light, they prefer bright indirect sunlight. Putting it outside it might burn if it gets too much sun.

The pilea wants to be watered moderately, but do not overwater it. The Pilea likes to dry out in-between waterings and doesn’t like to stay soggy. We have made it easier for you by suspending the crystal - making watering a simple task. This arrangement could live on your office desk quite easily.

BIRTHSTONE

This Birthstone Bracelet was a fun project we undertook for one of our favourite customers. We built this easy to wear sterling silver bracelet with a beautiful bright peridot gypsy set into its surface.

Peridot is the birthstone for August. Next month is sapphires - so come and check out our sapphire collection if you are looking for a gift for any September babes out there.

Our Halo Ring is so comfortable to wear, it might just be the perfect wedding band for a man. It features an incredible teal colour Sapphire from Rubyvale Queensland. The stone is not cut but we have set it into the 9ct gold band with a natural facet which catches the light.

OPAL

This boulder opal from Coober Pedy looks like the most exquisite slice of the surface of a large icy planet. The bright swirls of colours include bands of electric blue and gorgeous pool of a red crystal that we chose to showcase by orienting the claws around it.
